Leclex-O Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat diarrhea and dysentery by preventing the growth of microorganisms and relieving painful symptoms. Leclex-O Tablet is a prescription medicine that should be taken as per the prescription or as suggested by the doctor. It should be taken with food but must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as an overdose may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better, which will ensure a better recovery.
Leclex-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Levofloxacin and Ornidazole. Levofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Ornidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
What if I don't get better after using Leclex-O Tablet?
If you have not experienced improvement after completing the full course of Leclex-O Tablets, consult your healthcare provider. If your symptoms worsen during treatment, also inform your doctor.
Can I stop taking Leclex-O Tablet when I feel better?
No, you should not stop taking Leclex-O Tablets before finishing the entire course of treatment, even if you are feeling better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
What if I miss my dose?
If you miss a dose of Leclex-O Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. Do not attempt to make up for a missed dose by taking an extra dose. Always follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Leclex-O Tablet is to be taken with food.
- Your doctor has prescribed this combination medicine for the treatment of diarrhea and dysentery.
- Diarrhea can cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids to help rehydrate you.
- Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
- Do not use Leclex-O Tablet if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated.
- It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
- Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Leclex-O Tablet as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness.
- Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
