Lansovil Kid Tablet DT is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for treating acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and some other stomach conditions associated with excessive acid production. Lansovil Kid Tablet DT is also used to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity that may be seen with the prolonged use of painkillers. It belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal preferably in the morning. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep on taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. You can increase the efficiency of the treatment by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding caffeinated drinks (like tea and coffee) and spicy or fatty foods.

How should Lansovil Kid Tablet DT be administered through a nasogastric tube?
The correct administration method for Lansovil Kid Tablet DT through a nasogastric (NG) tube involves opening the capsule, emptying the granules into a syringe, mixing with apple juice, and attaching it to the NG tube. After administration, flush the NG tube with additional apple juice to clear the tube.
When should Lansovil Kid Tablet DT be taken?
Lansovil Kid Tablet DT is usually taken once a day, in the morning, on an empty stomach. If taking twice daily, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. Swallow the tablets whole with water at least 1 hour before a meal.
Which foods should be avoided while taking Lansovil Kid Tablet DT?
It is recommended to avoid foods that cause acidity and heartburn, such as fried or spicy food, butter, oil, juices from citrus fruits like lemon water or orange juice, caffeinated drinks like cola or tea, and alcohol.
Is Lansovil Kid Tablet DT used for children?
Yes, Lansovil Kid Tablet DT is used to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive gastritis in children. Its safety and effectiveness have been established only in children between 1 to 17 years of age.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Lansovil Kid Tablet DT is to be taken empty stomach.

- Long-term use of Lansovil Kid Tablet DT can cause weak bones and a deficiency of minerals such as magnesium.
