It is also contraindicated in patients with anuria, acute renal insufficiency, hepatic coma, pre-coma, low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiac arrhythmias, those taking aminoglycosides or cephalosporins, kidney dysfunction due to drug-induced damage, high potassium levels (hyperkalemia), Addison's disease, and children with moderate to severe renal impairment.
