Fruselac Tablet is a medicine used to treat congestive heart failure, nephrotic syndrome, ascites associated with liver cirrhosis, and mild and moderate degrees of essential hypertension. Fruselac Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Furosemide and Spironolactone. It works by reducing the excess fluid levels in the body while maintaining the potassium balance. Fruselac Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Furosemide and Spironolactone. Furosemide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also reduces blood pressure and enables heart to pump efficiently. Spironolactone is also a diuretic which conserves potassium thereby balancing its levels in the body.

What are the contraindications associated with the use of Fruselac Tablet?

It is also contraindicated for patients with anuria (absence of urine production), acute renal insufficiency (kidney dysfunction), hepatic coma and pre-coma (liver dysfunction) , hypotension (low blood pressure), cardiac arrhythmias, and those taking aminoglycosides or cephalosporins. Additionally, Fruselac Tablet should be avoided in individuals with pre-existing kidney dysfunction caused by medications that can cause renal damage. It is not recommended for patients with hyperkalemia (high potassium levels) or Addison's disease. Finally, use of this medication should be restricted in children with moderate to severe renal impairment.
