Kofril Expectorant is a combination medicine used to treat cough and relieve allergic symptoms. Kofril Expectorant is a combination medicine used to treat cough. It thins the mucus in the nose and windpipe, making it easier to cough out. This medicine also relieves allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, throat irritation.
Kofril Expectorant is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate and Menthol which relieve cough.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Kofril Expectorant may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Use a proper measuring cup or spoon to measure the dosage.
- Drink warm water to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma.
- Most coughs do not last more than 2 weeks. If your cough does last longer than this then it's better to see your doctor.
