Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux), dyspepsia (indigestion), and gastritis. Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. It helps treat the conditions by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach thereby relieving symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation.
Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
- Take Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet one hour before the meal
- preferably in the morning
- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea
- Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet for 14 days
- Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention
- Long-term use of Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet can cause weak bones and a deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor
- Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity and heartburn:
- Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water
- Avoid spicy and fatty fried food
- Lose weight if you are obese
- If you are a smoker consider giving up
- Don't drink too much alcohol
- Don't go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion
Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Pregnancy
Jorab DSR 30 mg/40 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
