It's used for treating muscle spasms in the urinary tract, which can be caused by bladder inflammation, prostate gland inflammation or urethra inflammation. It can also be used to ease symptoms after surgery, cystoscopy, or catheterization like painful urination, frequent nighttime urination, and difficulties with controlling urine flow. Hexate 200mg Tablet is an anti-spasmodic medicine that works by reducing muscle contractions in the bladder and increasing the bladder's capacity for holding urine, leading to reduced symptoms of unexpected or frequent urination.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hexate 200mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
- Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.
- Avoid caffeine, alcohol or carbonated drinks as they can worsen your symptoms.
- It may cause dizziness and blurring of vision. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
- Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Chewing sugarless gum and drinking plenty of water may help.
- Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma (a disease associated with increased eye pressure).
