Hepacor 5gm Injection contains two amino acids. It's commonly used for treating liver diseases to prevent abnormal brain function called hepatic encephalopathy.
How does Hepacor 5gm Injection treat hepatic encephalopathy (HE)?
Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a brain disorder in patients with liver failure. High bacterial activity in the intestines leads to ammonia accumulation, which affects brain function. This deterioration due to liver disease causes HE. Hepacor 5gm Injection works by detoxifying blood ammonia, reducing its free levels, and consequently mitigating abnormal brain function caused by liver failure.
How is Hepacor 5gm Injection administered?
Hepacor 5gm Injection can be given daily as an injection into the vein. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage based on your individual health condition and the severity of your liver disease.
