GPR-MV 2 Tablet SR contains a combination of Glimepiride, Metformin, and Voglibose. It is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). This medication helps improve blood glucose levels in adults when taken with proper diet and exercise. Glimepiride reduces blood sugar by increasing insulin release from the pancreas. Metformin lowers glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Voglibose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, works to lower postprandial (after meals) glucose levels. This combination is not for treating Type 1 diabetes mellitus.
