Fossical 35mg Tablet is used to treat or prevent weakening of the bones (osteoporosis) caused by menopause or use of steroids. Fossical 35mg Tablet is a bisphosphonate used to treat or prevent weakening of the bones (osteoporosis) caused by menopause or use of steroids. Using this medicine can reduce your risk of breaking bones.
Fossical 35mg Tablet is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclast cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Fossical 35mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
- Take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Do not lie down after taking the medicine.
- Wait at least 1 hour before taking any other medication or eating or drinking anything.
- Take calcium and vitamin D to help build your bones when taking Fossical 35mg Tablet.
- Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Fossical 35mg Tablet.
- Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw. This problem may be seen after dental work.

Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Fossical 35mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Fossical 35mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Fossical 35mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
