Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in your body. Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in your body. It is effective in some infections of the urinary tract, lungs (eg. pneumonia), bones, brain (eg. meningitis), and blood. However, it is only used when other common antibiotics cannot be used.
Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering which is needed for their survival.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.
- Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection is used for the treatment of bacterial infections when use of other common medicines is considered inappropriate.
- It is given as an injection into a vein by your doctor or nurse.
- Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Your doctor may regularly monitor the level of electrolytes in your blood. A low-sodium diet is recommended during treatment.
Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Fosinta IV 4000mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
