Ferix XT tablet is a medication used to treat iron deficiency anemia, iron deficiency due to chronic blood loss or low intake of iron, and nutritional anemia, especially during pregnancy and lactation. Ferix XT tablet contains elemental iron and folic acid, two essential nutrients for the production of healthy red blood cells. Iron transports oxygen throughout the body, maintaining red blood cells and preventing anemia. Folic acid is crucial for nucleotide biosynthesis, homocysteine remethylation, and rapid cell division and growth. Both children and adults require folic acid to produce healthy red blood cells and prevent anemia.
