Fenmed P Syrup helps lower body temperature (fever) and reduce pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) both in infants and children. Fenmed P Syrup works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger that is known to cause fever and inflammation. Adhere to the prescribed dose, time, and way while giving this medicine to your child. It can be given orally before or after meals. However, it is best to give this medicine to your child after meals as this will prevent the chance of developing an upset stomach. Try giving it at a fixed time so that it becomes a part of your child’s daily routine and helps prevent missing a dose. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again but do skip it if it's time for the next dose. Avoid giving more than the recommended dose for fast relief as that may cause unwanted effects in your child. Complete the full dose of the medicine even if your child feels better after a few doses because stopping the medicine in between may worsen the condition.
Fenmed P Syrup comprises two active ingredients: Aceclofenac and Paracetamol. These medicines work by blocking the action of chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever, and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Can I increase or decrease the dose of Fenmed P Syrup for my child based on the severity of illness?
No, it is not recommended to change the dose of the medicine without consulting a doctor. While increasing the dose may lead to toxicity, decreasing it may cause the symptoms to recur. Please speak to your child's doctor if you feel a change in dose may be needed.
How much Fenmed P Syrup should I give to my child?
Your doctor will prescribe the dosage based on your child's condition and body weight. Always follow the prescribed dosing schedule as this is the safest way to ensure the complete recovery of your child.
How should Fenmed P Syrup be stored?
Fenmed P Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental intake.
Can all children be given the same dose of Fenmed P Syrup?
No. Fenmed P Syrup cannot be given to everyone in the same dosage. The doctor determines the appropriate dose based on the child's age and body weight. The dosage can change depending on your child's age, and will continue to change as they grow older. It is crucial to consult a doctor before giving any dosage of this medicine to anyone. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
When will my child feel better?
The expected duration of feeling better with Fenmed P Syrup depends on the severity of the infection; sometimes it may take a few days to weeks. It is important to continue giving your child this medicine in the correct dosage and frequency advised by their doctor for optimal results. However, if your child continues to feel unwell even after completing the prescribed course, consult your child’s doctor as soon as possible.
Are there any serious side effects of this medicine for my child?
Although Fenmed P Syrup is generally well-tolerated by children, if you notice any unusual or severe reactions like persistent vomiting, body swelling, decreased urine frequency, or a severe allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention.
