What happens if you stop taking Etinap 2mg Tablet suddenly?
Suddenly discontinuing Etinap 2mg Tablet may trigger withdrawal symptoms including anxiety, insomnia, headache, dizziness, tinnitus, difficulty swallowing (dysphagia), vomiting, nausea, tremor, weakness, excessive sweating, irritability, heightened senses of sight and hearing. Stopping the medication abruptly may also cause palpitations, increased heart rate, and postural hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing). In severe and rare cases, sudden discontinuation can result in seizures, mental disorders such as psychosis, agitation, confusion, and hallucinations.
How long does Etinap 2mg Tablet take to work?
Oral doses of Etinap 2mg Tablet typically begin working within 30-60 minutes, reaching peak effectiveness in 3 to 4 hours. The medication remains in the body for 6 to 8 hours, with higher doses potentially staying active longer.
Is Etinap 2mg Tablet a muscle relaxant?
Yes, like other benzodiazepines, it causes muscle relaxation but is primarily used for anxiety disorders.
Is Etinap 2mg Tablet good for sleep?
While Etinap 2mg Tablet may cause drowsiness, its primary usage is for treating generalized anxiety disorder with depressive symptoms. It increases total sleep duration and reduces the proportion of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, where your eyes move rapidly in various directions. However, it has no effect on latency (the time to fall asleep).
