Erotid 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Erotid 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Erotid 10mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Erotid 10mg Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Does Erotid 10mg Tablet affect fertility?
Erotid 10mg Tablet does not affect fertility. It is a medication prescribed for erectile dysfunction and works by relaxing muscles in the penis to aid with sexual activity.
Should I avoid alcohol while taking Erotid 10mg Tablet?
Moderate alcohol intake (up to 5 units) is unlikely to cause significant discomfort. However, excessive alcohol consumption can lead to headaches, dizziness, rapid heartbeat or low blood pressure.
Does Erotid 10mg Tablet delay ejaculation?
Erotid 10mg Tablet does not delay ejaculation. It is designed to treat erectile dysfunction by improving sexual function.
What are the symptoms that warrant discontinuing Erotid 10mg Tablet?
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, sudden hearing loss, ringing in the ears, or dizziness. Prolonged erections greater than 4 hours and painful erections greater than 6 hours should also be reported to your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Erotid 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
- Do not take it more than once a day.
- Do not use Erotid 10mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- It may cause dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.
- Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
