It also reduces inflammation in the airways and makes breathing easier.
Emlecet-M Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Montelukast, which relieves sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.

Levocetirizine is an antiallergic medication that helps relieve allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and cough. Can Emlecet-M Tablet cause drowsiness or sleepiness?
Yes, one of the most common side effects of Emlecet-M Tablet is drowsiness. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or engage in other activities that require your full attention unless your doctor says you may do so. Avoid taking alcohol, central nervous system depressants, or medicines that can lead to severe drowsiness. You should also avoid certain pain relief medicines and sleep aids as they can increase or worsen drowsiness, potentially leading to falls or accidents.
