Donlac Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat diarrhea by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine. Donlac Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You may take this medicine along with oral rehydration solution (ORS) as it will help to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should take this medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Consult a doctor while taking any other medicine especially steroids or antibiotics along with this medicine.

How it works

Donlac Tablet is a probiotic. It works by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Donlac Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Tips

• Avoid taking Donlac Tablet along with steroids (medications that weaken the immune system) as they might increase the chances of getting sick.
• Notify your doctor if you are pregnant.
• Notify your doctor if you are breast-feeding.
• Take Donlac Tablet at least 2 hours before or after antibiotics. This is because taking Donlac Tablet along with the antibiotics can reduce their effectiveness.
• Take Donlac Tablet with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects

• The most common side effects are bloating and flatulence. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects.
