Diziron D Tablet MD is used to treat vertigo, a combination medicine that acts by relaxing vascular smooth muscles of the blood vessels of the ear and improves blood circulation. Diziron D Tablet MD should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor and preferably at a fixed time each day. Do not skip any doses but if you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment and never stop this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Diziron D Tablet MD is a combination of two medicines: Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. Cinnarizine is a calcium channel antagonist which works by preventing constriction of the blood vessels of the inner ear. This improves the microcirculation of the ear. Dimenhydrinate is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) that is responsible for light-headedness in vertigo.
Does Diziron D Tablet MD cause drowsiness?
Yes, Diziron D Tablet MD can cause drowsiness. Avoid driving, operating machinery, working at heights or participating in potentially dangerous activities until you know how this medicine affects you.
Can Diziron D Tablet MD cause indigestion?
Diziron D Tablet MD may cause indigestion. However, taking it with or after food can prevent indigestion. Talk to your doctor if indigestion persists.
Are there any contraindications associated with the use of Diziron D Tablet MD?
Diziron D Tablet MD is considered to be harmful for patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances, diphenhydramine or other antihistamines of similar structure or to any of the excipients. It should be avoided in patients with glaucoma, fits, increased intracranial pressure, alcohol abuse, urinary issues, liver or kidney disease. It is also not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
What if I accidentally take too much of this medicine?
If you have taken more than the prescribed dose of Diziron D Tablet MD, seek immediate medical attention at the nearest emergency department. Symptoms of an overdose may include tiredness, pupil dilation, inability to urinate, dry mouth, flushing, fast heart rate, sweating, headache, dizziness and shakiness.
What if I miss a dose of Diziron D Tablet MD?
If you miss a dose of Diziron D Tablet MD, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at its usual time and quantity. You should not take a double dose of Diziron D Tablet MD to make up for a missed dose.
Can I stop taking Diziron D Tablet MD if I feel well?
You should not stop taking Diziron D Tablet MD until your doctor asks you to. If you stop taking Diziron D Tablet MD earlier than advised, the symptoms of vertigo may reappear (dizziness and spinning).
What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Diziron D Tablet MD?
Store this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Refer to the packaging's instructions for details on storage. Dispose of unused medicine properly. Ensure that it is not consumed by pets, children, and other individuals.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Diziron D Tablet MD is to be taken with food.
