Dica Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of arthralgia (joint pain) and helps in the formation of soft tissue around the joints leading to joint repair. Dica Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. It is best taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor. Using this medicine may cause common side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, and heartburn. If you experienced any such side effects that do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them. The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders. Let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.
Dica Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Diacerein which relieve muscle and joint pain. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Diacerein is a proteoglycan synthesis stimulator which blocks the chemicals that cause inflammation and pain and helps in the building of cartilage (the soft connective tissue in the bones near the joints) in the body.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dica Tablet is to be taken with food.
Alcohol
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Dica Tablet as it can increase your risk of stomach problems.
