Certain vaccines (live or live-attenuated vaccines) require a waiting period of 4 to 6 weeks before starting Deforal Oral Suspension. Therefore, it is crucial to administer all immunizations according to immunization guidelines before initiating Deforal Oral Suspension.
How can I store Deforal Oral Suspension at home?
Store the medicine in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets. This helps prevent accidental intake.
My child is suffering from a seizure disorder. Is it safe to give Deforal Oral Suspension to my child?
Prolonged use of Deforal Oral Suspension can lead to mental illness as well as seizure disorders. Therefore, any child who is already experiencing seizure disorder should not take Deforal Oral Suspension.
Prefer giving Deforal Oral Suspension with food as an empty stomach can trigger acidity and gastric reflux. Avoid giving antacids along with Deforal Oral Suspension. If both need to be given, leave a gap of at least 2 hours between administration of Deforal Oral Suspension and antacids. Do not give it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
