Defcort 1 Tablet is a steroid used for treating various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. Defcort 1 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used for the treatment of various diseases and conditions such as inflammatory conditions and autoimmune conditions. It helps treat inflammation, severe allergies, flare-ups of ongoing illnesses, and many other medical problems that require either reduction of inflammation or suppression of the immune system. Side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems can occur. It is important to take this medicine as advised by your doctor and not to stop it suddenly without consulting your doctor.
Defcort 1 Tablet is a corticosteroid. It increases the level of glucocorticoid in the body and works by decreasing the formation of substances that cause inflammation and suppresses immunity to stop self-damage to the body by the immune system (auto-immune reactions occurring in organ transplants or cancer).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Defcort 1 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Defcort 1 Tablet with salad and vegetable diet.
- Defcort 1 Tablet helps treat inflammation, severe allergies, flare-ups of ongoing illnesses, and many other medical problems that require either reduction of inflammation or suppression of the immune system.
- Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
- Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.

- Side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems can happen when you start taking Defcort 1 Tablet. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.
- Do not stop taking Defcort 1 Tablet suddenly without talking to your doctor first as it may worsen your symptoms.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Defcort 1 Tablet.
Breastfeed
Defcort 1 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Defcort 1 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
