Cypotyx Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat loss of appetite. It is an effective appetite stimulant. Cypotyx Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Cypotyx Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol which revives appetite. Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant. It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
Does Cypotyx Syrup cause dry mouth?
Yes, Cypotyx Syrup may cause dry mouth. If you experience dryness in your mouth, drink plenty of water throughout the day. It is beneficial to take regular sips and keep some water by your bedside at night. You can also use lip balm if needed to alleviate dryness in your lips.
Can Cypotyx Syrup cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Cypotyx Syrup may cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. If you experience dizziness or lightheadedness, it is best to rest for a while and resume once you feel better. Do not drive or operate machinery until feeling well again.

Keep this medicine in its original container, tightly sealed, and store it according to the instructions on the label or package. Discard any unused medicine. Please ensure that it is not accessed by pets, children, or other individuals.
