Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection is a man-made form of vitamin B12 used to treat deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.
Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
What is Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection?
Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that helps the body make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
Vitamin B12 is found in some sources like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, vegetarians or vegans may not consume enough B12 naturally as it is not present in fruits, vegetables, or grains. Therefore, deficiency of Vitamin B12 is often seen in these groups.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal development of red blood cells). Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, some rare side effects may occur, such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. Discontinue taking this medication if a rash develops.
How should Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection be given?
Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or into a muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection) and is given 3 times a week. After two months, the dose is given once every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken when administering Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection?
Avoid injecting the medication at the same site repeatedly. If there is intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different location.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.

Alcohol

Pregnancy
Cynocal-M Forte 2500mcg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
