Consivas 10 Tablet is a statin used to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease by preventing the buildup of fatty substances in blood vessels. Consivas 10 Tablet is a widely prescribed statin medication used to lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. It works by blocking an enzyme required to produce cholesterol, thereby lowering 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while raising 'good' cholesterol (HDL). It is generally safe for long-term use and can be taken with or without food. Common side effects include muscle pain, weakness, nausea, headache, and stomach pain. It is important to monitor liver function and blood sugar levels regularly while on this medication. Consivas 10 Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) required by the body to make cholesterol, thereby lowering 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides and raising 'good' cholesterol (HDL).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. Consivas 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Consivas 10 Tablet treats high cholesterol by lowering 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides. It should be taken in addition to regular exercise and a low-fat diet.
- It may cause diarrhea, gas, or an upset stomach. If any of these happen, take it with food.
- Inform your doctor if you experience fatigue, muscle weakness, or muscle pain.
- Your doctor may check your liver function before starting the treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems such as stomach pains, unusually dark urine, or yellowing of skin or eyes.
