Cofross-LS Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs, making it easier to cough out. Cofross-LS Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Cofross-LS Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus.
What is Cofross-LS Syrup?
Cofross-LS Syrup is a combination medication containing Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol/Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It is used to treat cough with mucus. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic agent, thinning and loosening the mucus for easier coughing. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, widening them. Guaifenesin works as an expectorant, decreasing mucus stickiness and facilitating its removal from airways.
Is Cofross-LS Syrup safe to use?
Cofross-LS Syrup is generally safe for most patients. However, some may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. Consult a physician if you experience any persistent or troublesome side effects.
Are there specific contraindications for using Cofross-LS Syrup?
Cofross-LS Syrup is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to any of its active or inactive ingredients. Combining Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should be avoided.
