Clinsup V Vaginal Wash is a combination medicine that treats various types of vaginal infections associated with vaginal discharge. Clinsup V Vaginal Wash is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine is only for vaginal application. You must wash your hands before and after using it. It is best to use this at bedtime regularly to get the most benefit. If there is any accidental exposure of the medicine to the eyes or mouth, you must wash it immediately. For better efficacy of the medicine, the course of the treatment should be completed even if you feel better. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.
Clinsup V Vaginal Wash is a combination of two medicines: Clindamycin and Clotrimazole. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth in the vaginal tract by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from making their protective covering. Together, they treat your vaginal infection effectively.
This is for external use only. Check the label before use or follow the advise of your doctor. Pour a few drops onto your palm & gently massage the area of your vagina (the inner canal). Rinse thoroughly with water after application. It can be used even during your periods.
- Clinsup V Vaginal Wash is inserted into the vagina using an applicator
- Usually at night before going to bed
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better
- Avoid contact with your eyes. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water
- It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away
- It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy
- Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not get improved within 3 days of taking the medicine
- Mild irritation and burning sensation at the application site
Breastfeed
Clinsup V Vaginal Wash is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Pregnancy
Clinsup V Vaginal Wash is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
