Brevipil 50 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine used to treat seizures (fits) in epilepsy. Brevipil 50 Tablet suppresses the abnormal electrical activity in the brain. You can take it regularly with or without food but try to take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your seizures. It may be increased gradually. It is generally advised as a long-term treatment. You should continue taking it for as long as your doctor has told you to even if you feel well. If you stop or miss doses your seizures could get worse. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to. This is because stopping the medicine suddenly could make your seizures worse.
Brevipil 50 Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It works by attaching itself to specific sites (SV2A) on the surfaces of nerve cells. This suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain and prevents the spread of electrical signals that cause seizures.
Can I crush and take Brevipil 50 Tablet?
No, it is recommended to swallow Brevipil 50 Tablet whole with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food, preferably at the same time.
What if I miss a dose of Brevipil 50 Tablet?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose. Avoid doubling the dose to make up for the missed one, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
