It also reduces inflammation in the airways and makes breathing easier.
Borox-M Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Montelukast, which relieves sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.
What is Borox-M Tablet?
Borox-M Tablet contains two medicines: Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that helps relieve allergy symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and cough. It works by lowering chemicals in the body that cause allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks another chemical messenger (leukotriene) to reduce inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, which further relieves allergy symptoms.
Can Borox-M Tablet cause drowsiness or sleepiness?
Yes, drowsiness is a common side effect of Borox-M Tablet. It's important not to drive, operate heavy machinery, or engage in activities requiring your full attention until your doctor gives you the green light. Avoid alcohol or other central nervous system depressants, like cough and cold medicines. Also avoid certain pain relief medicines and sleeping aids as these can lead to severe drowsiness or worsen it, increasing the risk of falls or accidents.
