BM 4KT Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines used to treat eye infections, relieving pain, itching, inflammation, discomfort, and irritation. BM 4KT Eye Drop is strictly advised to use only in the eyes. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only on the affected eye. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. It is generally safe but may sometimes cause eye discomfort, irritation, and burning sensation in the eyes on instilling. These effects are mild and go away with time. However, if they stay for a long duration, you should consult the doctor.
BM 4KT Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Ketorolac and Moxifloxacin which treat eye infections. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing.
How long does BM 4KT Eye Drop take to work?
BM 4KT Eye Drop usually starts working soon after application. However, it may take several days for all harmful bacteria to be eliminated and for you to experience complete relief from your symptoms.
Can I stop applying BM 4KT Eye Drop when I feel better?
No, do not stop applying BM 4KT Eye Drop until completion of the full course of treatment. Even if you feel better, completing the prescribed medication is important to ensure complete eradication of the infection.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
- Your doctor has prescribed BM 4KT Eye Drop to cure your eye infection and improve your symptoms.
- Use it twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
- Do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
- Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after putting the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
- Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
- Along with using BM 4KT Eye Drop, give a warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation.
- Take care to avoid spreading the infection from one eye to the other and to other members of your family.
