Betcozy AM Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat cough. It thins the mucus in the nose and windpipe, making it easier to cough out. This medicine also relieves throat irritation and provides cooling sensation. Betcozy AM Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Betcozy AM Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Terbutaline.
Will a higher than the recommended dose of Betcozy AM Syrup be more effective?
Taking higher than the recommended dose may not increase effectiveness but instead could lead to increased side effects. If symptoms do not improve after taking Betcozy AM Syrup, consult your doctor.

Betcozy AM Syrup is prescribed for coughs associated with excessive mucus secretion.
Are there any contraindications associated with use of Betcozy AM Syrup?
Do not use Betcozy AM Syrup if you are hypersensitive to any component of the formulation. Avoid it in patients with pre-existing ischaemic heart disease, significant risk factors for ischaemic heart disease and gastric ulceration.
What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Betcozy AM Syrup?
Store Betcozy AM Syrup in its original container, tightly closed. Follow the instructions on the packaging or label regarding storage. Do not dispose of unused medicine down the drain or into the environment. Ensure it is out of reach of children, pets and other people.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Betcozy AM Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Betcozy AM Syrup may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
- If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease.
- Stop taking Betcozy AM Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Betcozy AM Syrup. Please consult your doctor.
