Arkamin H Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination of two medicines that effectively controls blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. Arkamin H Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It makes you lose excess water through urine, hence try to take it at day time to avoid frequent urination at night. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. Dryness of mouth, sedation, and slow heart rate are some common side effects of this medicine. To overcome dryness of mouth, practice frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and have sugarless candy. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. This medicine should be used along with lifestyle changes like a healthy diet, regular exercise, and smoking cessation for best results.
Arkamin H Tablet is a combination of two medicines:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Arkamin H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Your doctor has prescribed Arkamin H Tablet to control Hypertension (high blood pressure).
- Take it as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor along with regular exercise and diet control.
- It makes you feel dizzy. Avoid driving and attention requiring activity until you know how it affects you.
- It may cause you to feel lightheaded especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension). Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and sugarless candy may help.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Arkamin H Tablet.
Breastfeed
Arkamin H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Arkamin H Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
