It fights against microorganisms to prevent their growth and further spread of the infection. Altramox LB 500mg/125mg Tablet is a prescription medicine. Altramox LB 500mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Amoxycillin, Clavulanic Acid and Lactobacillus. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This treats your infection but may upset your digestive system by killing healthy gut bacteria as well. Lactobacillus is added to restore the balance of healthy bacteria.

Altramox LB 500mg/125mg Tablet is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergic reactions to any penicillin. It is also avoided in patients with a previous history of cholestatic jaundice or liver dysfunction associated with the medicine.
Which is the best time to take Altramox LB 500mg/125mg Tablet?
Altramox LB 500mg/125mg Tablet can be taken every 8 hours or every 12 hours, depending on the prescribed dose by your doctor. It should be taken with a meal or snack to minimize the possibility of experiencing an upset stomach. Many antibiotics can cause diarrhea.
