Allactive Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.
What is Allactive Tablet?
Allactive Tablet contains two medicines: Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that helps relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and cough by lowering chemicals in the body that cause these symptoms. Montelukast works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene) and reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose. This further helps to relieve symptoms.
Can Allactive Tablet cause drowsiness or sleepiness?
Yes, the most common side effect of Allactive Tablet is drowsiness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in other activities that require your full attention unless your doctor says you may do so. Also, avoid alcohol or central nervous system depressants (e.g., cough and cold medications). Avoid taking certain pain relievers and sleep-inducing medications as they can lead to severe drowsiness or worsen it, potentially causing falls or accidents.
