What are the serious side effects of Acivex 400mg Tablet DT?
Serious side effects are rare, but seek immediate medical advice if you experience them. These rare side effects include hives, blistering or peeling rash, yellowing of skin or eyes, unusual bruising or bleeding, loss of consciousness, fits (seizures), difficulty breathing, hallucinations and swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat.
Do elderly patients need to be more careful while taking Acivex 400mg Tablet DT?
Older adults (over age 65 years) are more susceptible to side effects when taking Acivex 400mg Tablet DT. Their kidneys may not flush the drug out of their system as effectively as younger people's kidneys do. Elderly patients should drink plenty of water while taking Acivex 400mg Tablet DT and have their kidney function monitored regularly. They should receive a reduced dose and be closely monitored for any neurological problems.
What can happen if somebody takes more than the recommended dose of Acivex 400mg Tablet DT accidentally?
Accidental, repeated overdoses of oral Acivex 400mg Tablet DT over several days have resulted in nausea, vomiting, confusion and headache. Consult your doctor immediately if you suspect an overdose.
