Acarcip 25 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus by lowering blood sugar levels after meals. It belongs to the alpha-glucosidase inhibitors group. Acarcip 25 Tablet should be taken just before or along with the first few bites of the meal. The dose and frequency will be decided by your doctor to control your blood sugar levels effectively. It may be increased gradually. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor, as your blood sugar levels may increase, putting you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. This medicine is part of a treatment program that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medicine. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal discomfort and flatulence. Consult your doctor if these bother you or do not go away. Acarcip 25 Tablet by itself does not cause hypoglycemia, but when used with other diabetes medicines, it can lead to hypoglycemia. Such episodes should be treated by taking plain glucose. Before taking it, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems. Acarcip 25 Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.
Does Acarcip 25 Tablet cause hypoglycemia?
Acarcip 25 Tablet does not directly cause hypoglycemia. However, it may lead to a decrease in blood sugar levels in certain situations when taken concurrently with other antidiabetic medications or insulin. Acarcip 25 Tablet is to be taken with meals, swallowed whole with water or chewed alongside the first bite of food. The initial dose is typically twice daily; however, this dosage is then gradually increased to thrice daily.
What if I forget to take Acarcip 25 Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Acarcip 25 Tablet, do not take the missed dose during your next meal. Wait until your scheduled dose and mealtime to continue taking your tablets as prescribed. Do not attempt to double your dosage.
What will happen if I exceed the recommended dose of Acarcip 25 Tablet?

Who should avoid taking Acarcip 25 Tablet?

- Hypoglycemia may occur if Acarcip 25 Tablet is taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or on delaying/skipping a meal. Check your blood sugar levels and have a snack/sugar source for immediate relief.

Breastfeed
