What is Zuter-L Syrup?
Zuter-L Syrup contains Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It's used to treat cough with mucus. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic, thinning and loosening the phlegm for easier coughing. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator, relaxing airway muscles and widening airways. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, decreasing mucus stickiness and aiding in removal from airways.
Is Zuter-L Syrup safe to use?
Zuter-L Syrup is generally considered safe for most patients. However, some may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. - May cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
- Monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine if you are diabetic.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease.
- Stop taking Zuter-L Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.
- Most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, muscle cramp, headache, skin rash, and increased heart rate. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time.
