Zophar LS 2mg/2mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of schizophrenia by modulating chemical messengers in the brain. Zophar LS 2mg/2mg Tablet is taken with or without food, preferably at night. It is advised to take it at the same time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not stop this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Common side effects include nausea, constipation, and dryness in the mouth. Initially, it may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when changing positions, so rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It also causes dizziness and sleepiness, so avoid driving or activities requiring mental focus until you know how it affects you. This medicine may increase your weight, blood sugar, and cholesterol, but a healthy diet and regular exercise can help mitigate these effects. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking as they may interact with Zophar LS 2mg/2mg Tablet. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
Zophar LS 2mg/2mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Risperidone and Trihexyphenidyl. Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic that balances the levels of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) to improve mood, thoughts, and behavior. Trihexyphenidyl is an anticholinergic that works on the nervous system and corrects some of the chemical imbalances that cause Parkinson's disease and certain side effects occurring during antipsychotic treatment.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Zophar LS 2mg/2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
