Zinter Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs, making it easier to cough out. Zinter Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Zinter Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Terbutaline and Bromhexine which relieves cough. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator which relaxes muscles in your airways and widens the airways. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Together they make breathing easier.
What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Zinter Syrup?
Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of unused medication properly. Do not give this medicine to pets, children, or other people.
Will Zinter Syrup be more effective if taken in more than recommended doses?
No, exceeding the recommended dose is not advisable and may not increase efficacy. Taking higher doses may even lead to serious side effects and toxicity. If you experience symptom escalation that does not improve with the prescribed dosage, consult your doctor for a re-evaluation of your treatment plan.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Zinter Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

- If you are diabetic monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease.
- Stop taking Zinter Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week tends to recur or is accompanied by a fever rash or persistent headache.
