Zentro-LS Capsule SR is a medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Zentro-LS Capsule SR is a combination of two medicines: Levosulpiride and Pantoprazole.
What is the recommended dosing schedule for Zentro-LS Capsule SR?
Take one Zentro-LS Capsule SR on an empty stomach, exactly as directed by your doctor.
Who should not use Zentro-LS Capsule SR?
Do not take Zentro-LS Capsule SR if you have a known allergy to any of its components or excipients.
What is the common side effect of Zentro-LS Capsule SR?
Zentro-LS Capsule SR can cause dizziness, characterized by feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded. If you experience dizziness, it is recommended to rest for a while and resume once you feel better.
Is Zentro-LS Capsule SR associated with an increased risk of fractures?
Studies suggest that taking high doses of Zentro-LS Capsule SR may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist, or spine. This risk is higher in patients who take multiple daily doses and receive long-term therapy (a year or longer).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zentro-LS Capsule SR is to be taken empty stomach.
- Prescribed to give relief from acidity and its associated symptoms
- Take it one hour before the meal, preferably in the morning
- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea or stomach pain that does not go away
- Do not consume alcohol while taking Zentro-LS Capsule SR as it can increase the risk of stomach damage
- Long-term use may cause weak or broken bones. Take adequate intake of dietary calcium and vitamin D or their supplements. Do not take Zentro-LS Capsule SR for longer than prescribed
