Yorimeth 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an essential role in the body, helping to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also assists with energy release from food and uses vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Vitamin B12 is typically found in animal-based foods such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegetarians and vegans may face difficulties obtaining this vitamin naturally due to the limited presence of vitamin B12 in plant-based sources like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, they often require supplementation.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to a variety of symptoms. These include fatigue and weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal condition where red blood cells are larger than usual). The deficiency may also cause nerve problems like tingling or numbness in the hands and feet. Other potential side effects include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory problems, and sores in the mouth or tongue.
Yorimeth 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some individuals may experience rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. If a rash occurs, discontinue the medicine immediately.
Yorimeth 1500mcg Injection can be administered intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (containing 0.5 mg of Yorimeth 1500mcg Injection) and is given three times a week. After two months, the frequency is adjusted to once every one to three months as part of ongoing treatment.
When injecting Yorimeth 1500mcg Injection, it's essential to avoid injecting into the same site repeatedly. If you experience intense pain during injection or notice blood flowing back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different site.
