During radiotherapy, chemotherapy, abdominal infection, or any major surgeries, the dead cells in the body start releasing a chemical called serotonin directly into the blood. Later, this stimulates special centers in the body that are responsible for inducing vomiting in your child. Giving Von Set 2mg Syrup just before the procedure helps block the effect of this chemical on vomiting centers of the brain and prevents vomiting.
What is Von Set 2mg Syrup used for?
Von Set 2mg Syrup is prescribed before major surgeries or chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions. It helps prevent vomiting in children undergoing these procedures. Additionally, it's effective in treating vomiting caused by stomach diseases. If your child experiences such symptoms, their doctor may prescribe Von Set 2mg Syrup for a few days.
What if my child takes too much Von Set 2mg Syrup?
Accidental overdose of Von Set 2mg Syrup is rare and unlikely to cause harm. However, it's crucial to inform your child's doctor immediately if an extra dose has been taken by mistake.
