Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus by controlling high blood sugar levels after meals. Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD should be taken just before a meal. The dose and frequency will be decided by your doctor to control your blood sugar levels. Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it may increase your blood sugar levels and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. This medicine is part of a treatment program that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medicine. Common side effects include flatulence (gas), stomach pain, loss of appetite, constipation, and diarrhea. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you or do not go away. This medicine does not cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) by itself, but when used with other diabetes medicines, it can lead to hypoglycemia. Such episodes should be treated with plain glucose. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, or if you have ulceration or inflammation in the bowel. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking this medicine as it may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD is an anti-diabetic medicine. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD is to be taken on an empty stomach.
- Used together with other diabetes medicines to control blood sugar and avoid long-term complications.
- Continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD.
- Lowers post-meal blood sugar levels, so it should be taken before meals.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD.
Breastfeed
Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Pregnancy
Voglichew 0.2 Tablet MD is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
