Ursoxyn 300mg Tablet acts on the liver, concentrating in the bile secreted from the liver. This suppresses the synthesis and secretion of cholesterol by the liver, reducing cholesterol levels in bile. The medication also prevents the intestines from absorbing bile salts and cholesterol. As a result, the reduced cholesterol saturation in bile from the liver leads to the gradual dissolution of cholesterol from gallstones, causing a decrease in size and eventual dissolution. Additionally, Ursoxyn 300mg Tablet reduces elevated liver enzyme levels by increasing bile flow through the liver, protecting liver cells.
Yes, weight gain is a possible side effect of Ursoxyn 300mg Tablet, although it is not common. This medication can cause weight gain in patients with liver disease associated with chronic stasis of bile in small bile ducts of the liver. In this condition, bile cannot flow from the liver to the small intestine. The likelihood of weight gain varies from person to person, depending on the underlying disease. If you experience weight gain while taking Ursoxyn 300mg Tablet, consult your doctor for guidance.
