Uprize 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Uprize 10mg Tablet is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It increases blood flow to the penis to help men get an erection. In PAH, it relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Uprize 10mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works in erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis by relaxing the muscles in penile blood vessels. Uprize 10mg Tablet also relaxes or widens the blood vessels inside the lungs. When the blood vessels relax and widen, it's easier for the heart to pump blood through the lungs, which reduces blood pressure in the lungs.
Does Uprize 10mg Tablet affect fertility?
Uprize 10mg Tablet does not affect fertility. It functions by relaxing the muscles of penile blood vessels and has no impact on reproductive function.
Do I need to avoid alcohol while taking Uprize 10mg Tablet?
Small amounts of alcohol may not cause any noticeable discomfort. However, excessive consumption (5 units or more) can increase the risk of headaches, dizziness, increased heart rate, and low blood pressure.
Does Uprize 10mg Tablet delay ejaculation?
Uprize 10mg Tablet is not known to affect ejaculation. It's prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED).
What are the symptoms that should prompt me to discontinue Uprize 10mg Tablet?
You should consult your doctor immediately if you experience sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, hearing loss, ringing in ears, and dizziness. Contact your doctor as well if you experience prolonged erections lasting longer than 4 hours or painful erections lasting longer than 6 hours.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Uprize 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- It is best to take it an hour before sexual intercourse. But you can take it anytime between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sexual activity.
- Do not take it more than once a day.
- Do not use Uprize 10mg Tablet if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain).
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can reduce your ability to get an erection and can make dizziness worse.
- Seek medical attention if the erection persists for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse.
