Udapa-Trio Tablet ER is a combination medicine that helps control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Udapa-Trio Tablet ER can be taken with or without food at any time of the day but try to take it at the same time every day. The dose will be decided by your doctor so don’t stop taking it without asking them. If you do, your blood sugar levels may increase your risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness. This medicine is only a part of the treatment program that should include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor.
Udapa-Trio Tablet ER is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines. Dapagliflozin increases urinary glucose excretion and reduces blood glucose levels. Metformin decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by the liver. Metformin also increases the body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. Sitagliptin helps control blood sugar levels by increasing substances (incretins) in the body that make the pancreas release more insulin. It also signals the liver to stop producing sugar (glucose) when there is too much sugar in the blood.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Udapa-Trio Tablet ER may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking this medicine as this may increase the risk of some side effects.
Breastfeed
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it.
Pregnancy
Before taking Udapa-Trio Tablet ER, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
