Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. It can be taken with or without food but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Amoxycillin, Clavulanic Acid and Lactobacillus. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This treats your infection but may upset your digestive system by killing healthy gut bacteria as well. Lactobacillus is added to restore the balance of healthy bacteria.
You have been prescribed this combination medicine to treat bacterial infections even if they have developed resistance. Take it with food and plenty of fluids to avoid an upset stomach. Finish the prescribed course even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps. Stop taking Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to any penicillin. Additionally, it should be avoided in individuals with a previous history of cholestatic jaundice or liver dysfunction associated with the medication.
Trubid-CV 625 LB Tablet can be taken every 8 hours or every 12 hours, depending on the prescribed dose by your healthcare provider. It should be consumed with a meal or snack to minimize gastrointestinal upset. Some antibiotics can cause diarrhea. If diarrhea is severe or lasts longer than two or three days, please contact your doctor.
No, complete the full course of treatment as prescribed even if you start to feel better. It is common to experience improvement early in antibiotic therapy, but skipping doses or not completing the full course may compromise the effectiveness of immediate treatment. This could also lead to bacterial resistance.
