It may also help to prevent an infection after an eye injury or surgery.
Tobraject 0.3% Eye Drop is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. This treats your eye infection.
What bacteria does Tobraject 0.3% Eye Drop kill?
Tobraject 0.3% Eye Drop is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis, various Streptococcus species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Proteus mirabilis, Morganella morganii, most Proteus vulgaris strains, Haemophilus influenzae, and H. aegyptius, Moraxella lacunata, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, and some Neisseria species. Your doctor will evaluate the suitability of this medication for your condition.
How long should I use Tobraject 0.3% Eye Drop?
Your doctor will determine the duration of treatment based on the severity of infection. For mild to moderate infections, a single eye drop four times daily for 1-2 days is usually recommended. In severe cases, two drops every hour may be prescribed. Do not use more or less than what is prescribed by your doctor, and only use it as instructed.
How should Tobraject 0.3% Eye Drop be used?
Before using the eye drops, wash your hands thoroughly. Avoid touching the dropper tip against any surface or your eye. Tilt your head slightly and instill one drop. Close your eyes for two or three minutes with your head tilted down; avoid blinking or squinting. Gently press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for about one minute to help keep the medication in the eye. If you use more than one drop, wait at least five minutes between drops. Wait at least 10 minutes before applying any other prescribed eye drops.
What if I don't get better after using Tobraject 0.3% Eye Drop?
If you do not feel better after completing the full course of treatment, inform your doctor immediately and report any worsening symptoms.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
