Tobra Eye Drops effectively kills a broad spectrum of bacteria. However, it is crucial to ensure the susceptibility of the targeted bacteria before use. The following bacterial species are susceptible to Tobra Eye Drop: Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis, some Streptococcus species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Proteus mirabilis, Morganella morganii, most Proteus vulgaris strains, Haemophilus influenza, and H. aegyptius, Moraxella lacunata, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, and some Neisseria species. Your doctor will determine the suitability of this medication for your specific condition.
How long should I use Tobra Eye Drop?
The duration of treatment prescribed by your doctor depends on the severity of the infection. For mild to moderate infections, your doctor may suggest using Tobra Eye Drops for 1-2 times daily for a period of 1-2 days or even longer. In severe cases, your doctor may prescribe using Tobra Eye Drops every hour. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or use it more frequently than directed by your doctor. Ensure you strictly follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration.
How should I use Tobra Eye Drop?
Always wash your hands before applying Tobra Eye Drops. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head slightly and instill one drop. Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes, ensuring your head is tilted down and avoid blinking or squinting. Gently press your finger to the inner corner of your eye for approximately one minute to prevent fluid from draining into your tear duct. If you need to use multiple drops, wait for at least five minutes before applying another drop.
