What bacteria does Tobique Eye Drop kill?
Tobique Eye Drop is effective against a wide range of bacteria. However, Tobique Eye Drop must be used only against susceptible bacteria. Bacteria that can be killed by Tobique Eye Drop include Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis, some species of Streptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Proteus mirabilis, Morganella morganii, most Proteus vulgaris strains, Haemophilus influenzae, and H. aegyptius, Moraxella lacunata, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, and some Neisseria species. Your doctor will evaluate whether this medicine is suitable for your condition.
How long should I use Tobique Eye Drop?
Your doctor will determine the duration of treatment based on the severity of your infection. For mild to moderate infections, a course of 1-2 drops four times daily is generally advised. In severe cases, you may be prescribed two drops every hour. Do not exceed the dosage or use Tobique Eye Drop more often than prescribed by your doctor, and always follow your doctor’s instructions precisely.
How should I use Tobique Eye Drop?
Always wash your hands before using Tobique Eye Drops. Avoid touching the dropper tip against your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head slightly and instill one drop into your eye. Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes with your head tilted down to prevent blinking or squinting. Gently press your finger to the inside corner of your eye for approximately one minute to help keep the liquid from draining into your tear duct. If you use more than one drop, wait about 5 minutes between them. Wait at least 10 minutes before using any other eye drops prescribed by your doctor.
What if I don't get better after using Tobique Eye Drop?
If you do not experience improvement after completing the full course of treatment, inform your doctor immediately. It is important to notify your doctor if your symptoms worsen while taking this medication.
