Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat pain due to muscle spasm, improving muscle movement and providing relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms. Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet should be taken with food to prevent an upset stomach. It should be taken regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor. Some common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects. The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver. Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Thiocolchicoside and Diclofenac. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any of its components or excipients. It should be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding. Additionally, it should be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
Can I stop taking Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet is usually used for short-term relief and should be discontinued once your pain is relieved. However, if prescribed by your doctor, it should continue until their advice.

Long-term use of Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet may lead to kidney damage. Prostaglandins, produced by normal kidneys, protect them from damage; however, painkillers lower prostaglandin levels, contributing to kidney damage over time. Patients with pre-existing kidney disease should not take this medication.
Will a higher than the recommended dose of Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet be more effective?
Higher doses of Thiossil D 4mg/50mg Tablet will not necessarily result in greater efficacy. It may even increase the risk of side effects and toxicity. If you experience worsening symptoms, consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
